Look what's happened with my Micro ATO (SATO-110P) bought in February 2018:

It's horrible - swollen, rusted and cracked. It's electronic device in the water and can be very dangerous...

Tank in perfect condition and everything else works fine.

No idea what kind of warranty they provide.

Contact Coralvue, they'll likely send you a replacement. They've always been good to me with my Smart ATO (the big version) and have sent me out replacement magnets no questions asked. One piece of advice that's helped me, take the unit and put some silicone around the edge where its rusting out (on the new one). This'll help keep saltwater out and prevent it from rusting. Been using my ato this way for almost 3 years now and no issues :)

I submit the ticket to CoralVue. Hope they are not like Hagen and will help me.

Glad they handled it for you! Gotta love good CS.

CoralVue support was great. They sended me a new sensor in 1 day after I opened the ticket.

that’s great that they helped so quickly.

Really any magnet can fail. Doesnt matter if it’s from the top brands in the hobby, or from eBay. I try to use rim-mounted brackets rather than magnets wherever possible.

It’s a good policy to regularly check magnets for damage, avoid letting the two sides contact directly (can bang together and crack), etc.
