Autofeeder Help

I use an Eheim autofeeder (with plastic basin to let the food sink, I forget the actual product name) to dispense TDO Chromaboost through the day and it generally works very well. Recently my foxface has started swimming into the plastic basin and spitting water up into the feeder. This causes the food in the feeder to get gunked up, jam slightly, and only dispense a small amount of food at a time. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
