Automatic Dosing Containers: What are you using? Show us yours!

It's nice to have/use large containers however if/when the doser goes out of whack it can dose the total amount of liquid in the container. This happened to me with a Pacific Sun Kore 5 doser. It dumped 800ml of trace elements into my display tank in 2 hours. The proper dosage was 16ml per day. This killed all my tangs at the time...7 tangs to be exact. Needless to say I never put too much liquid in a container that can have such an effect in the event things go bad.

I managed to get some used "Building an Obession" containers for Alk/Ca with sensors, Sadly they no longer make them so will have to figure out something new for Mg.

Red = Kalk Yellow = All For Reef & Blue = Magnesium. Used RO tubing and connectors after drilling hole in top of VOSS water bottles. The bottles are glass.

I keep everything in the original bottles and add anything I need to by hand. I rarely have to dose anything, as I use well water for my reef which has naturally high Ca, Alk, and Mag.

I use glass jars w a hole drilled in the lid for tubing. Seems stupid to buy a container that’s going to sit hidden away and only needs to be able to hold liquid. When I need something bigger will probably try the gallon milk jug someone mentioned before this

I use a bit of both, a dosing container containing ati essentials pro, an 8 litre lemonade dispenser as a kalk container and a 25 litre jerrycan for my ato.

That's correct. I saw this DIY on YouTube and decided to go with it. I did not want huge containers in the event a pump failed in the on position.

Currently using a 3 chamber container made for dosing. Like that it holds a lot but if you need to clean you have to remove all liquid with a turkey baster as you can't just pour them out in case they mix. Switching to Voss bottles and some 3d printed mounting/tops. Adding a 2nd doser for RS Trace colors using the 375ml bottles. A/C/M using 500 ml

Anything that held or is made to hold REEF SAFE LIQUID.. PRETTY MUCH DRINKING WATER ONLY. CURRENTLY USING 3 GALLON WATER COOLER JUGS FOR ALK & CAL AND 5GALLON PARTY/PICNIC DRINK DISPENSER JUGS FOR ATO.. BOTH FROM WALMART. THE DISPENSER VALVES ON THE LATTER CAN BE REVOVED AND FITTED WITH RO BULKHEADS.

I have used any container that holds liquids in the past, but I have accumulated a mix of containers for my 250.

Mine looks very similar to your small one in the front. It was thrown in as a freebie when I bought something else from a guy breaking his tank down. Not sure I'd ever spend the money on a new one, but it works well.
