Automatic feeding after dark?

I have an Avast Plank on the way. Was wondering if any of you set up a feeding for a few hours after lights out to feed nasarius snails or other night dwellers. Of course in a tank that has been up for years with plenty of fish this may not be necessary.

if you are worried about them throw in some pellets and /or sinking algae wafers before bed time
