I'm looking for plumbers or anyone with plumbing experience to sign off on my idea to create an automated sump drainage system for quicker water changes. My washer/dryer is located in the garage on the other side of the wall that my tank will be located. A couple feet below the washing machine outlet box is a 2" clean-out. I plan on running a 1/2" PVC from the sump into the clean-out. I want to have the option of siphoning the display tank or just turning on a pump located in the sump if I'm
feeling lazy, which can all change with the turn of a couple ball valves. I'm just worried about the possibility of clogs or sewer gas contamination. I've attached a drawing of my idea, let me know if there is anything you would add or change.
