I am doing automatic water change daily and want to know how this number compares to what I would do with a weekly water change. Meaning if I normally take out 10% on a Saturday and I'm doing 10% automatic water change over a 7 day period is there a difference. For example if I'm taking out 10 gallons every Saturday should I still use automatic water change to take out 10 gallons over a 7 Day period? By doing automatic water change should I reduce the total amount removed considering that I'm actually removing some everyday instead of waiting until the end of the week? For example hould AWC = 8% Where weekly water change = 10%?

Just want to make sure I'm not overdoing it by removing too much via automatic water change

I still do 10% even though I do automatic water changes, it is not overkill, I would still shoot for changing the same amount of water per week you usually do, you might even increase it to

Check out @Randy Holmes-Farley article on water changes. There is a section large water changes, small water changes and continuous water changes. That article inspired me to make water changes as easy as possible via hoses running along the wall.
