Hi all,
I have been doing automatic water changes on my tank for about a year now. It has got to the point where the skimmer is not really doing anything. The display looks good. There is a tiny bit of algae, but nothing that concerns me. Everything is growing well.
So I am thinking of switching up my small sump area. The main goal would be to push up the PH rather that nutrient export.
Display ~ 60 gallons
Sump area I can repurpose ~ 15 gallons
Existing skimmer is a Red Sea 300.
What would do?
A, Run Chaeto on a reverse lighting schedule
B, keep things as is, and stick with the big skimmer and feed more
C, switch to a smaller skimmer (AquaMaxx WS-1) and add a Kalk stirrer
