Avast Marine: Name It & Win It Contest - Winner Announced

NAME IT & WIN IT

We are excited to bring you another unique contest sponsored by Avast Marine! Avast Marine has created another new and innovative aquarium product and they have come to the Reef2Reef community for help!

This is the first of several videos that Avast Marine will be providing us for you to view and get the creative juices flowing. So stay tuned as the contest progresses for new video and photo updates!

So the contest is real simple:

1. View the video(s) of this new Avast Reactor and come up with a "Pirate" themed name.

2. Post in this thread what you think would be a cool name for this new innovative reactor.

3. Post as many entries as you would like throughout the contest as you get inspired.

Avast Marine will be watching this thread and will choose the perfect name for their new reactor and announce the winner on BLACK FRIDAY November 27th.

The Prize:

The winner is going to win one of these new reactors! You will be able to choose one of the optional sizes that best fits your aquarium and it will be shipped to your door at no cost.

So let the name game begin!

Thanks again to Avast Marine.

Kraken bio pellet

"Churner" In Avast Media Churner

Not sure if it's been used but " the tidepool" or just "tidepool". In Avast Tidepool

"the galley" in Avast Galley Reactor

Not really sea related but "inversion" Or the Avast Inversion Reactor. Sort of fitting for the inverted inner contact chamber..

Avast "Bulkhead"(it actually does look like an elongated bulkhead).

The Blackspot.. Avast Blackspot Media Reactor..

After looking through 18 pages, apologies if i used anyone else's..

Avast Estuary- i have been trying to remember an episode of Planet Earth where there was a convergence of freshwater and saltwater within flooded underground caves(i believe in the Ukatan) . Within these caves, it appears that there's air, when in actuality, it is simply the freshwater layer over the heavier saltwater. As I was investigating, it stated that these estuaries have a churning effect(much like the new reactor) because of the mixing of the salt and freshwater. Also, it is said that, short of the reefs, estuaries are teeming with some of the most abundant and diverse forms of life, and is a bio catalyst. And they also serve ecological functions..

Lol, I probably missed it on a ton of tidbits in my short synopsis.. But it's very interesting nonetheless.

Trying not to repeat any after a quick scan of all 28 pages, I don't recall seeing these

AM Strait of Messina
AM Messina
AM Fata Morgana
AM Morgana
AM Hydrofoil

All ripped off from:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strait_of_Messina

Or either of these, which I can't believe weren't repeated 20 times like so many others
charybdis or scylla reactor. If you don't know those were the sea serpent and the giant whirlpool in the odyssey

Scylla & Charybdis was the first thing that popped into my mind. Best one IMO @Mschoolman

This sounds fun, I'll give it a shot. By the way, I really like that Avast Logo!

How about, "Krakenactor" (a play on Kraken - reactor..get it..)
Or, with some true pirate character, "Arrr! Reactor" (you have to say Arrr! as if you're a pirate or it doesn't sound as good)
