So I am trying to program my Avast Marine Plank Feeder to come on for 10 seconds twice a day (12PM and 6PM). Will this work?

Fallback OFF
OSC 000:00/000:10/359:50 Then ON
If Time 20:01 to 10:59 Then OFF

Thanks!

I can’t help with the specific question but I can bump the thread to see if we can get you some attention

I would love to know this as well. I just purchased one of these feeders too, what are you going to feed with it?

Looks like it will work to me. I always enable logging to make sure I get desired results for a day or two. My apex program is similar just a few more times.

@Avengerx77 @Cment @SPR1968 The program works just fine! just make sure that you divide the number of times you want to feed in a day by the total number of minutes in a day (1440). So in my case, I will feed for 10 seconds twice a day. I wanted to start slow before I trust it fully (ha!). My total minutes add up to 360 (359:50 plus 000:10). Divide that in to 1440 and the result is 4 (feed at 6AM, 12PM, 6PM, 12AM). However, I don't want to feed when the lights are off so I have it turned off from 8:01PM to 10:59AM. So essentially I am feeding at 12PM and 6PM). However, just today I changed my program to feed every two hours for 15 seconds each (000:15 and 119:45).

Hope this helps! Feel free to reach out with any questions.

Would a simple way to do this be use the feeder control on the outlet control list if you knew how long one rotation takes

I used the apex feeder mode and this info may be helpful to others. 5 apex rotations = 30 seconds or 3/4 plank rotation

Old thread but what size tank and how many fish do you have to feed every 2 hours? I assume you also supplement with some amount of frozen.

It takes 30 seconds for the auger to make a rotarion and dump food. At least i found that flake and pellet food does not continuously drop from the feed at every moment that the auger is turning. I set up 30 sec feedings on my apex with a 2 minute OSC window that can be used to easily add time later. Its basically off 1:30 then on :30 4 times a day. Mind you this is for my 125g with 7 fish and cuc.

OSC 001:30/000:30/000:00 Then ON
If Time 00:00 to 09:00 Then OFF
If Time 09:02 to 14:00 Then OFF
If Time 14:02 to 20:00 Then OFF
If Time 20:02 to 00:00 Then OFF

I really hate the way this works in apex btw. The reliance on "off" and OSC due to the lack of configuration timing granularity awareness is disappointing.

I do love my avast feeder though, hope you get it tuned to your liking.
