Avatar problems

Truthfully since the site was changed I kind of shied away with the lack of time to relearn where everything was. Now that I have more time, I posted a reply and found my avatar missing.

I went into my settings and chose to edit avatar. It shows my old avatar pic, but my only option is to not have an avatar. The husband has the option to upload a pic, but I don't have that option.

He also has the option to edit his profile picture, but the edit profile picture link is completely missing on mine.

He is a paid member and I am not so maybe that's the problem? With the new site, do you have to be a paid member to have an avatar and profile pic?

No but you might have been playing with the options right in the middle of us trying an update a few minutes ago.

Try to clear you cookies and check it again. Let me know!

Oh and what browser are you using?

Using firefox 3.6.3. Cleared cache and cookies (also active logins), restarted browser, logged back in. Still missing those options.

Husband is also using 3.6.3 on his laptop with no issues. I gave IE8 a shot also to rule out my browser. Same thing.

Rev. I've tried to load a avatar off Photobucket and I can't. It tells me the file is too big? How do I make it smaller?

I guess I should also mention that I'm not getting emails when there are replies to threads. I just noticed with the replies above and there was no emails. The only reason I knew there were replies was because I saw them in my subscribed threads list.

So, this thread is listed in subscribed threads. I do have my current email address in my settings. I do have the setting for instant email notification with replies.

OK I'll add one more problem to the mess!

Had the husband try to send me a PM. I got an email telling me that my PM box is 90% full, but not email telling me I have a PM. I do get the pop up message on the forum saying that I have a PM, just no email.

Again I went and checked settings. Obviously email address is correct because I got the 90% full email. I checked it anyway and it looks good. I do have the setting for PMs to be on and to send email notifications of PMs.

Sorry to laugh and I am not laughing at you, but the system showed you as registered, but unconfirmed via the email confirmation. Your good to go now!
