I often find myself googleing info when I have a question. And more often than not the best answers are found on links that lead me here. So clearly that's a sign. I've only got about a year and a half of reef exp and my tank is still has a loooong way to go, but so far it's been a blast. Looking forward to searching this forum more and Google less. =]

47 aqueon bow mixed / sps dominant under 4x54 watt ati t5ho (3 blue plus and 1 blue special) reef octo 1000 hob, tidal 75, eshops doser and tumze nano ato)

I just set up the auto doser a few days ago. Before that I manually dosed 10ml reef fusion 2 by seachem for alk and 5 ml fusion 1 for calc every two days. My calc Hangs between 415 and 435 ish and my alk stays around 7 to 8. I wanted to raise the alk to around 9 and stabilize both calc and alk a bit more because my acros haven't been growing very fast at all. It remains to be seen if that will help as I'm still tweaking the doser.

My parameters are normally

2 -5 nitrate
7-8 alk
415-435 calc
1380ish magnesium
0.1 phosphate
pH is a bit low, sits at 8.0 to 8.1( another reason I'm raiseing alk a bit)
1.025 sg

12 gallon water change once a week. I use tropic Marin salt mix. Just the regular, not the pro reef

Welcome to reef2reef. I am one of those people who wishes I could get purple growth like that. I have one little spot on my back wall that I am proud of lol.
