Awaki vs reeflo for mixing station

Hi. I’m looking for the best external pump to pump water from my garage to my display tank inside my home. It’s going to be around 40 feet distance and only as high as the display tank which is roughly 5 feet high. Reeflo has the swordtail that can pump up to 20 feet max head but I was also looking at the snapper or dart from reeflo for the gph. What model would be better for my setup. Any advice will be appreciated.

The iwaki will be louder, but handles head pressure better. I have used a lot of sequence pumps, and subsequently replaced a lot of seals, which is why I don't use them anymore lol. They always fail at the worst times, IME.

Iwaki or panworld just due to seal failures.

I run an iwaki for my mixing station & return pump. Impressed so far

Yup I use Iwaki for water mixing station, but reeflo hammerhead for sump return

Reeflo barracuda here, no complaints.. unless I forget to close the purge gate valve..

The mag drive pumps like Iwaki, PanWorld, BlueLine or the like do not have seals and are made for head pressure - they excel at delivering water far away. A swordtail is not even on the same level as a PanWorld for pressure and reliability.

Try and find a used one. Who cares if it is noisy since you won't be running it but a few minutes a month.
