Awc and ato with jebao dosers

So I'm planning on running two jebao dosers for a total of 8 heads. 1 for ato 1 remove tank water 1 add new saltwater and the other 5 for dosing nutrients when the tank is stabilized. Being that my tank is a brand new tank (still cycling) how often should I have it change the water? Instead of doing one every two weeks i could do something like 1/4 gal every 4 days and then just change the containers ever 2 weeks. Thoughts on this? Reason I ask is obviously the tank needs to be stabilized and I dont want to over change the water. Thanks in advance.

I would highly advise against using jebao equipment for ato, auto water change and dosing nitrates or phosphates if thats what you mean by nutrients. They’re just too unreliable, their return pumps and wave makers are fine as a piece of equipment because WHEN they fail not if, its not tank threatening. When the doser fails set up in the way you’d like it could be tank threatening and/or flood your floors.

I cant say about using a jebao for awc. Generally i would say that it is not built for that much load, but sounds like you are not planning on changing hardly any it may be fine.

I would recommend the jebao as a doser though. I have 2 and have worked very well for years. Have had to replace a couple heads and some hose....but no big deal. Generally on these forums though the thought is if you didnt spend at least a paycheck on the equipment it is junk. When there are 15 threads about an Apex failing people dont rant about chinese made junk. The second a jebao fails people chime in to say it is chinese made junk though.

Haha i forgot to answer your real question. There is no reason to change any water during cycle. Once it is done the only reason is to reduce nitrates and in that case i would recommend a single large change manually. Then start any AWC you planning.

Right I'm not changing during the cycle. Just preparing post cycle. I was concerned let's say I change 1000ml every 3 days... would that affect the stability of the environment... hope that made sense haha

Unless you have an extremely tiny tank no it wont matter. When doing AWC changes things like temp really are not so important because it is not enough water change at once to move the needle. Same with other parameters really. Only one to worry about is matching salinity so that over time it dont creep u/down.

Right. I use premixed water from my lfs so I check the salinity when I buy it. If I can find an sl1 or sl2 I will add ph orp and salinity to my monitored parameters on my rkl.

Bubble magus, cheap and good.
