For anyone that does auto water change do you do it slowly over a week or do you do a single large water change? And why? Pros and Cons of each please.

I do daily changes. I feel like the daily changes provide less of a shock to the system, and they're more manageable for me. The con is that dillution effect means frequent changes have a slightly lesser effect on reef chemistry. @Randy Holmes-Farley has a great article on the subject.

Do you have a link to his article? I don’t see one about AWC. Also do you do a slow one throughout the day or all at once?

It's about water changes in general but he has a section on AWC that's def worth reading. I do a change once a day all at once.

I do mine all throughout the day as that was a bit easier with maintaining water levels.
One thing to mention is that if you're using a DOS and it's setup somewhere near your tank, it's pretty loud which can be annoying and might change plans.

I'm using the DOS, it was really to setup, but as I said noisy. I have mine setup in the garage with my mixing station and just run a really long USB cable to the Apex. I just had to order a special USB cable because the Apex can't have the powered types.
