I am considering setting up an AWC system for my 125 reef. I am currently using the Bubble Magus BM T01 doser for two part. I was thinking I could get the expansion unit and set two channels to run at the same time to remove and replenish. The drain line would have to be routed through a drop ceiling to a floor drain in the boiler room. That means the line would have a 7ish foot incline and about a 30 foot total length. I can't seem to find any info on max head pressure for this system. So my questions are: 1. Is the BM T01 accurate enough for this application? 2. Will the pressure of the drain line throw off accuracy? 3. Is this just a really bad idea?

Thanks
Don

With that distance, I wouldn't think it work. Dosers are meant to push short distances.

That's what I was afraid of. I watched an Ask BRS video where they were using a DOS dosing pump which has a 24' max head, and ran the line up a wall into another room. My problem is that if the amount of water out doesn't match water in, the difference would be made up by the ATO not replenishing all of the evaporation, which would raise salinity. I like the Autoaqua ATO, but the max head is only 6 1/2 feet. Any suggestions? I don't have a controller.
