Thinking about setting up a simple AWC system. For those that store salt water what is the rate of evaporation in the container?

Is it air tight or do you have a small hole in the top to let the tubing go through?

Concerned the water I will be changing with will rise in salinity due to evaporation.

Thanks!

My storage tank is airtight. Has a 1/4 bulkhead for attaching RO line to it from my apex Dos.

This is exactly what I want to do. How’d the RO connect to the DOS and what bulkhead did you use?

Thanks a lot!

I keep the lid on mine so no evap. Bulkhead drilled at the bottom. 1/2 I think? Then another piece that slid in and the threaded piece to hold the push connect. Drawing a blank on the slid in piece but once it’s in and you push the female connector in it seals the hole tight.

Yeah, just put a lid on it. Evap is low in a tall barrel anyhow (low surface to volume ratio).

Thanks everyone I’ll post a picture of my setup once I am finished in case anyone comes across this thread! Appreciate the help and looking forward to less manual weekly work.
