Hello There,

I am trying to set up awc with my Maxi and Profilux 4. I’m trying to program a maintenance button, or any button that I can initiate from my phone. I want to push the button to start auto water changes with my maxi to change 6 gallons a day (both heads running at the same time adding and removing water, could be 6 one gallon changes six times in the same day for 7 days in a row) 7 days in a row. Then automatically stop after the 7th day. Without the use of float sensors. Then I could manually make new saltwater when I have time. Then once the water is ready I can press the same button again to initiate the cycle again. Ideally, in the future, I would like to be able to increase the cycle from 7 to 9 days once I get a larger water reservoir.

Thank you in advance for your time!!!

Couple of questions:

You do not care what time or how many times the awc goes off per day as long as it 6 gallons in total?

The cycle will not restart unless you hit the button again?

I do not have to worry about your ato? You will program that not to run while the maxi is running?

What your current calibration ml per minute on your maxi set to speed 3 fast?

Couple of questions:
THANK YOU SO MUCH DITTO!!!!! I will respond within your questions in bold.

I don't care the time of day.
The cycle will not restart unless you hit the button again?
Yes, not restart until I hit the button again.

I am using the Tunze osmolator, I was assuming if The maxi heads are running at the same time, they will not affect water level... if they do, then maybe I could fill with fresh saltwater first, then take water out ten minutes later? Maybe add half gallon then remove half gallon so shouldn't affect skimmer cup level. My sump is 180 gallons. Display is 400 gallons, attached frag tank is 90 gallons.
What your current calibration ml per minute on your maxi set to speed 3 fast?
When I get home I will check. I calibrated at slow level and I think maxi doser head 5 (fresh saltwater) was about 37ml and doser head 6 was 30 ml/min. I need to calibrate at speed three tonight and I will let you know.

Ok thank you, I am not sure if I can get it to stop, once the button is clicked but have an idea.

When Calibrating my Draining head (head 5) was 285 ml/min and my adding fresh saltwater (head 6) was 311 ml/min. I'm assuming the ideal is to do many small water changes throughout the day to sum to 6 gallons per day for 6 consecutive days and then stop until I press a button to initiate the process again. Thank you so much in advance Ditto for your time, effort, experience, and knowledge!!!

Thank you, I am going to try, getting it to do the water change is the easy part :) it is the stop after 6 days which I am trying to test.

That is what puzzles me.... I hope it is possible

Hello Ditto, probably if I add a float switch for whenthe container is empty that could make things easier. So a maintenance button that would start a daily cycle of water changes until the float switch activates the shut off. Then the water changes will only start once I click the maintenance button again. I wouldn’t want the water changes to start while I’m filling the bucket up with freshwater that hasn’t been salted and airated.

@Ced21 -I am still testing but I can not get it not to repeat the interval. Issue is I have to wait to the next day to see if it will repeat hehe. But yes putting a float switch in the container would make this 100 percent easier and doable. I would add that to the program logic and say water changes as long as the float switch is not on identifying the container is now empty.

Ok Ditto, lets go with the single low water in bucket float switch. So once it detects low water it stops until I push a button to start the cycle again. So if I’m out of town I know once the bucket is empty, no water changes will be done. Once I start making water, the float switch won’t initiate a start of awc since it’ll be a few days until the bucket is full of water that has salt added to it and mixed.

Thank you Ditto for all your efforts and time!!!!!
