So my tank has been cycling for 1.5 weeks now. I'm getting a nasty wet dog smell now. Is this normal? Tank is clear. Chems are: ammonia=2ppm, nitrite=5+ppm, nitrate=5ppm, ph=8ppm. I'm doing fishless cycle using bacteria in a bottle and dosing ammonia to keep it around 4ppm. Thoughts on what the smell is or is it normal during the cycle? Thanks for any responses...
