Aww man . Bulkhead is hitting the trim.

Finally got around to drilling my 40b and felt great about it. Only to discover the outside of the bulk head is screwing in to the back trim of the top. Anyway to remedy this ? are there other bulkhead manufactures that might have a different style that is less round?

Would it be possible to dremel a notch off the portion of the bulkhead nut hitting the trim and screw the actual bulkhead into it rather than turning the nut? Made way more sense before I typed it, but hope ya get the jist.

I do see . Im sure a Dremel will solve the problem. It's crazy I got the holes exactly where I wanted them and they will fit in my overflow box perfectly . Just didn't anticipate the back of the bulkhead lol.

Use the drimel on the black plastic trim. it realy does not offer much support to the tank. I Would seal up under the rim after all the way around just in case.

Drilled holes should be 2x the hole diameter from the top edge and sides. This leaves enough glass for strength and keeps you away from the trim.
