Hello reefers,

My tank is about 1.5 years old and nitrate have always been on the higher side like close to 50ppm. I know some say we shouldn't chase the numbers but anyhow i tried everything water changes, refugium, biopellets, carbon dosing, marine blocks however 25ppm was the lowest i could achieve.

Recently i used AZNO3 and the results have been unbelievable. I dosed in small quantities so as not to stress my corals and over a period of about 25-30 days my nitrates are now between 5-10 ppm. I don't know what it contains but none of my corals got upset and all seem happy.

I'm not sure why there is not much written about this product as it is simply amazing.

Regards

Nice, thank you for sharing . I’ll check out what it is, I wonder if it’s something like nopox
i've used NOPOX but i think this is something else or maybe same thing (vodka/vinegar etc) in very high concentration. however i didn't have any bacteria blooms so not sure.

Like most carbon dosing, it can all go very wrong once you start getting towards zero for phosphorous and nitrogen sources. All you have is a bottle of expensive sugar, same as nopox and several others. The best way to tackle the problem you have is with a better protein skimmer.

regular testing helps. I stopped dosing when my nitrates reached 5ppm and yes protein skimmer is a must.
anyways purpose was to share my experience with azno3 so it may help someone out there, since when i was purchasing it couldn't find much information on the net.
cheers!
