Hello All,
ent to do a water change in the QT/Frag tank today. Found the damsel hiding under the egg crate and had a large white spot over its left eye. The eye looks a bit enlarged. The damsel is not doing well, a lot of leaning to one side heavily and struggling to stat static. Have had it for about 5 weeks.

Any thoughts on ID?

Many Thanks!

It could be an injury that became infected, is the fish in a QT or do you have frags in there? You can start by treating with an antibiotic if there are no frags. Metroplex, kanaplex, furan-2 are all ones I would recommend. If you don't have a QT without corals then you can feed the kanaplex in food bound with seachem focus.

I'm currently using the tank as both a QT and frag tank and it is the only fish, but have three frags in there with it. I have both focus and kanaplex on hand.

It could be an injury. The pictures are too blurry to see much. You can feed the kanaplex + focus, that's fine. Using a frag tank with corals as a QT isn't really all that helpful since you can't treat for much with the corals present and the corals can bring in fish diseases too. Just an fyi :)

X2. Keep us posted, poor lil guy!

I ended up setting up a make shift 5 gallon bucket with HOB filter for treatment. Treated with Kanaplex directly. Will perform a water change tomorrow (48 hours) and retreat. He is still eating! Thanks for all the help. I need to get my FO QT up and running sooner rather than later it seems.
