I just upgraded from 20g to 65g. My BMagus Curve 5 overflow is sitting in the sunp with 10.5” water column - turn to max, manual says: 9.5 - 11”. New tank + new skimmer, it keeps going crazy for 1 day now. So is that a break-in or I should raise it up to 8” like some ppl did? If it is a breakin, how long does it take?

Break in should take a few days to a week. Don't fret, it'll get there. In the meantime, you can remove the overflow stopper and just let things flow. Once you start getting gunk, replace the stopper

terrible skimmer. mine over flows unless 4'' in the water. which is obsurd.
i had to modify it by taking a syringe and drilling 4 holes in the side, one at 1ml, 2ml, 3ml, 4ml. i than adjust it up and down to have it skim better.

Love my curve 5 took 4 days to break in and has worked like a champ since. Your mileage may vary on break in period but it does go nutty at first.
