BABIES! Clown fish

So I’ve had my tank for a few weeks and my clowns have laid eggs! Any advice? Are they unlikely to survive?

No this is my first reef tank! Surprised they bred as there is 3 hosting in the anemone! Must be happy at least. I have had fish breed with freshwater setups

Oh wow. Fab. This I don’t know anything about google it! If the fish don’t tend the eggs or even if they do, maybe worth shipping mum dad babies and the me out the tank to give em a fighting chance.

If you have other fish...I would think they'd be eaten for protein

I just tapped into my browser “what to do when clown fish spawn”...... there’s 4/5 utubes and loads of articles popping up.

google ,very cool,very complex,if going to try learn quickly ,do not expose eggs to air,and no worries hatch in8 days ,they will lay again and again ,have fun

My clowns paired up 6 years ago and have laid eggs every two weeks for the last 5 1/2 years. I haven't raised even one baby clown. The other fish eat them. You can remove the eggs right before they hatch and put them in another tank to raise them. But it's a lot of work. There is lots of info on R2R about how to do it if you want to try. Good luck.

I don’t plan on building another tank at this stage, the wife barely let me get the current one! Might see if I can place them in a sump chamber and see what happens

imo ,just leave em be ,if not disturbed will keep spawning ,chance of survival in sump is 0% ,research for the next couple broods ,if disturbed may not keep doing ,its hard to just let them go,but best to leave alone until ready for action,happy reefing

The fry will need to be fed rotifers. If they can’t eat, they will die.

All the babies disappeared overnight, 11 days from being laid, hopefully save a few from the next batch

3rd batch in six weeks, Machines! No luck with babies though
