Baby aptasia? Please take a look.

Hello everyone,

I noticed this polyp about 2 weeks ago growing on an exosphere frag. It has since doubled in size. Is it aptasia, and if it is, what's the best way to remove it. That's the only one I've noticed in the tank. Thankfully, the zoa is on a small piece of rock I can easily pull out of the tank. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can remove the rock, scrape it off, glue the hole where it was. I did this on the edge of a scoly and it worked.

Take it out.
Drop of glue.
Put back.

Looks like aptisia, if it's connected to the coral and not the rock behind it I'd remove the coral and scrub the aptisia off with a toothbrush dipped in peroxide then rinse with tank water.. repete untill your 100% certain all is gone since any fragments can turn into a whole new aptisia and infest the tank. If it's on the rock at all I've had good luck with a majeno wand.

Its impossible to see anything with pic. Please repost under white light intensity as It can also be hydroids or other.

I had a very similar "thing". to me it looked like a baby aptashia on the side of a plug with a utter kaos zoa on it.. i pulled it out cutoff half the frag plug, inspected under a magnifying glass(my eyes are not good) and put it back...zero regrowth to date, like 3 weeks , fingers crossed. My new rule id dremmel and replug all new corals.

I can see now on larger screen. Yes - aptasia.
Using syringe, inject either lemon juice or better yet. . kalkwasser powder mixed with tank water into a paste the consistency of toothpaste and inject into the very center core and it will melt away

Yeah that's aptasia. If you can, I'd recommend taking that frag out and putting it in a pico tank with some bhergias... that way they can find the aptasia quick, and take care of the problem before it spreads:
