After a vacation, during which some overfeeding may have occurred, I went to change the filter and saw these small wormish blobs in the filter cartridge holder. They are whiter then they appear here, and are about the size of a pencil eraser. The tank has been up and running for 15 months, never had anything like this before, nothing new has been added for many months. Any help IDing would be much appreciated!

Looks more like pineapple sponges then worms to me(not great shot take another if you google such and dont agree) which is a good flter feeder for a tank and very common in new tank.

I will post much clearer pictures after work, they do not move, all seen cemented where they are. Thank you so much for your help, looking forward to hearing more after better pics are posted!!!

If they don't move at all, sounds like sponges as mentioned earlier. nothing to be concerned about/ beneficial filter feeders.

They are definitely not moving...happy to hear they are likely to be sponges. The little White things appear to be growing into the sponges, could that be right? Should I do more than not overfeed to avoid an explosion of these? Or is even an explosion ok? Thanks again for all your feedback!
