So its hard to see in the picture but it appears that I have some Baby Coral growing. It looks like zoanthids or maybe a cans but I'm not sure. It is definitely growing and it is definitely colorful and looks just like Coral. Is this normal?? cuz I'm seeing something I've never seen before. Lol

Dead center of pic. I added a filter. Trying to figure out how to draw on the pic to circle it

It's not algea or a sponge or any other critter. I'm 99.9 percent sure it's coral. I think acans. As time goes on it looks more and more like acans. Been growing for a cpl months

If your talking about the greenish lump I would say sponge or shroom

I know you guys can't tell from the pic exactly what coral it is, but I was curious how often coral spawns or grows from scratch. This rock is aquacultured and has been in my tank for about a year.

I had a hairy mushroom that started shrinking after 6 months that's what mine ended up looking like

It's not a mushroom. I can see the baby colony has individual polyps that close when I touch them ..leading my to believe they are zoas. They were right near some eagle eyes and bam bams and some radioactive dragon eyes. I also have 3 different rainbow acans on a different rock below these little guys. When I put on the blue LEDs they glow green and starting to show orange which could be eagle eyes

Time will definitely tell.
Yes it is normal for things to pop up in locations around the tank from budding, encrusting and other forms of natural fragmentation or reproduction.
