Baby Groot and an unidentified blob

We’ve been watching some unknown things grow on some macro algae in a small 13 gallon tank. we now realize that one of them a photosynthetic Gorgonian. We named him Baby Groot. Daddy Groot quarantined a few weeks ago in this tank. The second is a blob. It originally was on the same macro algae as Baby Groot. I wondered if it might be a Cocoon but the entire blob gets smaller if it is startled. I’m thinking that would not be the case if it were a cocoon. It was originally on the same macro algae as Baby Groot. We thought it might be another Gorgonian. But for now it is just a slowly growing white blob. Any one know what it might be ? Looks to be a sponge.
But I don't know if sponges retract.

Oh my goodness. I think you may be right. I hadn’t ever heard of a tunicate. I watched a video after your post. I got some magnifying glasses and I think I can see the in and out syphon on the little white blob. Thank you !!! It must have hitched a ride on something from the local fish store.
