I found a small baby shrimp in my tank today. At first I thought it was a baby bristle worm but it was walking with a hump in the back two antennas and it was clear looking. I bought a peppermint shrimp about a month ago could it have been pregnant when I got it. Not sure if they lay eggs or not. Would it survive in my tank? Do they give birth in multiple numbers or just one? It was very small about 3 cm.

I have plenty of peppermints give birth in my system. They will survive off of scavenging food. Nothing special you need to do. It is actually natural food for your fish
