So i got a baby plate locally that was mounted to a standard size frag plug.
It's exactly the size of the frag plug disc, maybe slightly overlapping when fully inflated.
Has awesome tentacle extension too.
What I'm wondering is if I should leave it attached? My other two plates (one 6 years old and one new one about 2-3x the size of this baby) are not mounted on anything and can move around the tank if they want.
I was going to just cut the stem off the plug, but then wondering if I should try to remove the plate from the disc all together. But worried about hurting it during removal or if removing it will have any other negative effect as far as it's odds of survival in the tank sitting on the sand bed.

They need to be able to move. It’s weird the store would have glued it to a plug. If it were me I’d try and pop it off. If it’s super glue it should be easy.

Yeah, for one I'm assuming when that small it was just easier to keep track of, but this was also a local coral show with a vendors from out of town.
But thanks! I'll pop him off and set him free. :D
