So I ordered this little guy online and he showed up with quite the beak on him. He’s about 3 inches and not eating anything. Tried clam in a half shell and krill. Also tried PE Mysis and regular raw shrimp chunk. I’ve only had him for 5 days. Not even my snowflake will go this long without eating. So I’m thinking it could be because of his beak and I don’t know what to do

Puffers are finicky and don’t always take to foods quickly. Keep trying to get him some hard foods.
If that doesn’t work, you may have to cut the teeth manually.

Well I know in the freshwater world with mbu and fahaka puffers, most remove from tank and use a dremel very carefully or a metal file. But I’ve only seen it done on big adults. Might want to go with a small metal file from lowes or Home Depot because of it’s size.

At 3 inches, it’s probably possible to get away with cuticle clippers and such. That’s done for similarly sized amazons.
Generally hard foods are enough to keep puffer teeth trimmed (except amazons and avocados), though there are always cases with other species.

Has he tried eating at all? If he's not showing interest, it's probably not a beak issue. But, if he's trying to eat and his beak is getting in the way, that's a different story.

I agree with Sharkbait19, puffers are finicky and can definitely go on hunger strikes. Make sure the water is pristine and keep offering the clams or krill. Is the fish in quarantine? Sometimes not having pressure from other tanks mates helps too..
