These are collonista snails. Seems like theyre part of a CUC. I just found a ton in my tank last night. From what I understand, they eat algae and are reef safe.

They're relatively new in the hobby and I'm sure it's because now-a-days we share rock and frags. Live rock used to be live from the ocean... not live from someone else's tear down. I don't really remember them before, say 15 years ago.
It's been about a year now for me. In the last four months or so the population has really declined.

There's different species that grow to different sizes. The largest you see out of the current grouping is probably as large as they get. My current ones, you can barely see the adults.
