Are these baby snails? There are thousands of them all over the glass and leave a tiny clean trail behind them, which I'm not mad about. Or is it some sort of bad critter?

The only kind of snails I've ever had were astraea in this tank. It's hard for me to even make out the detail standing right in front of the tank that's how tiny they are lol

wow cool.
I had some called collonista. they stay tiny.

Astrea as well as trochus are known to reproduce in home aquarium at will. Most of the snails considered Turban snails tend to spawn quite regularly. I went from 2 astreas to 200+ at one point. The smaller ones will die off over time and youll get a nice amount of adults after 6 months or so but not to plague proportions lol

right?

awesome. I figured there's too many for them all to survive but I'll take it

They grow quite quickly plus can always start plucking them out and putting them in a bucket with some nori as food once they get big enough so things dont eat them before they get a nice hard shell

Thanks I'll keep that in mind.
