My toadstool has developed a baby head under its main head. Should I trim it off or wait for it to fall off? How long do they take to break off?

Get a razor blade and clean it with some dawn dish detergent. Rinse well.

Find a piece of small rubble rock to attach the baby to.

Have some small, thin rubber bands handy.

Irritate the top of the toadstool with your clean hand to retract the tentacles.

Carefully cut away the baby at the base from the mother. Rinse the baby in some tank water.

Take the baby and lightly wrap the rubber band around the baby and rock to keep it in place. If this isn't doable, you can use two rocks to wedge it into. Or even some sowing thread to gently wrap it to the rock.

Wait a week or two for the baby to attach to the rock and then remove the string or rubber band.
