I have babies! Trochus snails. Was pulling algae of the polyps and zoa frag and saw this little guy. One picture shows his size in relation to the polyp. Then I looked again at what looked like a bump on the rock. I touched it with my long tweezers and it started moving! Two babies. Had no idea they'd breed. The second one is about a quarter of the first one I spotted. Posting this on the main forum as well. Has anyone had baby Trochus snails?

One of the many reasons why they're my favorite snails. A few of my adults were grown out from babies.

Yes, I have them everywhere. They jam up my pumps and clog everything. For weeks after they hatch, my glass looks like it has moving salt specs crawling all over it.

Can you take that out and flip it over for me so we can see the operculum? I'm a little suspicious, but I'm sure they're fine......

I just want to make sure they're not heliacus. The bands are pretty broad, so I'm sure it's probably a baby trochus, but just to make sure.....

I started with 6 and now they're everywhere. The babies make it to main frag tank and the wrasses eat them. So it works out to curve the population. I have a video somewhere of one of them spawning.

I started out I think with 6 adults but think there are only 5 now as I've seen one empty shell.
@Lionfish Lair I took a video that I'll see if I can figure out how to upload. They are so tiny I don't think I can pick them up.
@fragit @bif24701 I keep the temp around 76. It might hit 75 at night and go to 77 - 78 during the day. I've never seen any sign of them before on the glass or anywhere else. Found 2 more last night with my flashlight after lights out.

Here's the youtube link.
Anyone here know why narsarious snails climb the glass and leave a messy smear behind. Had like 3 of them doing that. Breeding?

@Lionfish Lair thanks for the confirmation. Never thought I'd see the day where I was jazzed and excited to see baby snails or snails as pets of any sort!!!!
I was thinking the same thing lol
Mine just had babies as well! Very few people in the world would get excited about finding these little guys but thankfully my wife gets it!
It's great when something beneficial reproduces in you tank!
