The Mrs. was repositioning a few things around while I was at work, and we had to switch the positions of our 2 tube nems. She said our small one had 2 tubes when she dug it out, and now it's looking weird, and I can only assume it's prepping to split? Is this common?

My understanding is tube nems are not asexual and do not reproduce by fission or splitting. There needs to be more than one in the tank and one would have to release the egg and the other the sperm. I believe they start as males and turn female when they get big. Most reasonable answer to me is your tube nems made a baby
