I've had one small turbo in my tank for a while now but at night I started seeing some small snails, now I usually would write them off as just random hitchhikers like those little flat slug looking snails we all get except.... they started getting larger. They now look like mini versions of my turbo snails! There's about 6 of them that I have seen. Unfortunately one has hydroids on it which means my reef now has hydroids yet again but still... it's so unusual to me. I have never had a cleaning crew invert successfully breed before.

I tried taking some pics but it was impossible to get a good shot.

2 of the intrepid snails.

Those white spots on the glass are all pods. I have so many pods in this tank, dosing reef chilli really made them explode.

Those are probably collonista snails, night time tiny cuc. Their population will self regulate based on food(algae) being available. Mine seem to ebb and flow between hundreds, to just 50 or so.

Hmmm... that's certainly possible. I guess I'll find out if they get any bigger. Either way it's a nice addition =)

Collinista ...they wont get much bigger. Great cuc.

Never seen a turbo breed in an aquarium...trochus do quite a bit .
They do call the collinistas mini turbos....:)
