Hey guys. Had this little guy for over a week.

I do roll the dice when it comes to fish as far as quarantine. Just don’t have the space for it.

No other fish in the aquarium is showing signs of illness.

All params in check. The tank is doing well.

This little guy however has this big white dot on him. Surrounded by what seems to be a sore. It’s far too big for ich.

Any idea as to what I can do for it?

Any advice or guidance in the survival of this little guy would be much appreciated.

What Ab’s would you suggest? He’s getting nori and rods food daily. He seems to be eating still.

Thanks for your help.

Any idea as to what might’ve caused and what can be done to prevent something like this in the future?

Could be a secondary infection from an injury a parasite or hlle etc.

Looks like some hlle so make sure it's getting proper nutrition, including looking for intestinal worms.

Qt is really the best way to catch and treat these things early.

Best of luck, hes a cute fish!

Wow! Bookmarked that. Thank you.

That white piece that was hanging off the fish is gone. Just the sore remains. I’ve yet to attempt to catch it.

I did grab a 10 gallon spare. Mixing water now for a WC to fill it up.

Good looking out guys.
