Hello, just wanted to start a hello world thread. I have been out of the hobby for about 15 years and finally have the room in the basement for a tank.

I bought a SC aquarium 112 gallon (60x18x24 LxDxH) tank from someone on craigslist and have added to it. It's just out of cycling but the Pukani rock is still leaching phosphates/nitrates (decaying material in the rock).

I've got a water changing station in a remote back room and picked up a quarantine tank from a local reefer, so I'll get that set up and hopefully a few fish until the parameters are more stable. The local reefer reccomended reef2reef, so here I am! Looking forward to the journey. Bill

Nothing like getting back into the hobby the right way. Very nice setup and welcome back, welcome to R2R also

Thanks, I'm just fighting the pukani rock leaching organics, but hopefully get that under control in the next few weeks and I can start a quarantine tank to get some fish for my main man Austin!

I just realized that the skimmer I have is an SC-301, rated at 65 gallons... not the SC-302 which is/was supposed to come with the tank. So that's a disappointment.
