Back after a 15 year break!

Hi all

I'm getting back into Saltwater after a 15 year break! I used to have a 6x2x2 full reef tank but had to break it down for personal reasons.

Starting again with a 25 gallon (UK). Its Cycling at the moment. Keeping it nice and simple so just using a Tidal 55 for a filter, 4000 lph wave maker, caribsea live sand, caribsea life rock, optical auto top off, I have my own RO/DI system so sll water is 0 tds.

Looking forward to seeing how it progresses.....taking things nice and slowly!

Welcome back to the hobby! Looks like you’re off to a nice start.

As someone who also came back to the hobby (back in 2016) after 15 years, it was really amazing to see and take advantage of how much the hobby had advanced, and continues to.

The understanding of reef systems has increased incredibly over the last few years - as has the technology that supports it.

Yes things have certainly changed a lot. I'm glad the days of metal halide lighting are over as they cost a small fortune to run! I can see me upgrading in a year or so already

I made a few changes! Have an IA Nero 3 wavemaker arriving tomorrow and I've decided to swap out the Tidal 55 for a Reef Octopus Classic 1000 HOB skimmer
