Almost a year and a half after a devastating house fire, (everyone but the fish got out safely), I am ready to start over. I moved from a 265g to a 295g "piano wave" seamless curved glass tank. Lighting is (3) 400w MH and (2) 72" T5 HO + 60" of dimmable actinic leds - all controlled by an Apex Fusion with ORP. Salinity, PH and temp probes.
(1) 40g pre filter sump and (1) 100g main sump are in the basement with UV, micron filtration, protein skimming and a large wet/dry area. (2) 1.5" food grade poly vinyl tubes feed the sumps, (2) 1" Silicone tubes return the water to the tank via (2) low voltage DC 5000gph adjustable pumps. Every thi g is microprocessor controlled.
I saved my old rock and will reuse it. Electric is done, plumbing will wrap up next weekend then I fill it (5 stage RO/DI).
Any hobbiests here from Upstate/Western NY?
So glad I found this forum, I an sure I will be asking a lot of questions!
Best to all
David
