Hey everyone,

Wow, hard to believe that MACNA is over! We had an amazing time, with the UC crew seeing a whole lot of action this weekend. It was a real pleasure to meet many customers, and to make a lot of new friends! Of course, we worked crazy hard, and had a ton of fun. The most important part of MACNA is the opportunity to interact with friends, customers, and corals!

This year was significant for UC: Our first MACNA after a full year of operation, and the farthest East the UC experience has journeyed for a conference yet! Next year in Denver, it will be a completely new, state-of-the-art trade show booth and more of the cool stuff you've come to expect from us! Quite possibly, some of the worst-quality pics we've ever taken, but here is an assortment of Iphone pics depicting some of the many memories from last weekend:

First order of business. How do you get all this stuff into a rental car? Simple logic, of course...and a lot of shoving!

Staying properly groomed is very important during the show, and as speaker and vendor, I'm glad to have a dedicated partner in Jow to keep me ready...

ReefGen's captive-bred Chain Dog Sharks by 2013 MASNA Award winner Todd Gardner proved to be quite a hit!

Next year, we'll need to bring more pens and pins...apparently a thousand wasn't enough!

It takes more than a case of laryngitis to keep me down. One hour before I had to do my talk, I literally had no voice. The motivation of my friends (and a lot of hot tea) helped me bring it for the 7th time in a row for a packed house!

Macna is in Denver next year eh? Might have to plan a trip, from everything I have seen / heard it is an awesome experience.

One of my reefer buddies has family out there too, free lodging score!

UC's Toni Xiong and ReefGen's Laura Birenbaum ham it up for the camera (with RG's Justin Credebal and Joe Yaiullo in the background)

The legendary Dana Riddle spent a lot of time at our booth measuring chlorophyll levels in our corals. He was very surprised and happy with the results, which will be part of a groundbreaking article to be published in the next few months on coral growth and lighting. our husbandry practices and growth history data on each coral proved useful to Dana, and we are very excited to have him utilize our specimens in his study. Super over-simplified bottom line: Our colorful corals have high chlorophyll levels because they are super healthy...

OK, Iphones don't always take good fish pics, but it was fun to see some of the latest Sustainable Aquatics fishes pose for the camera!

Ahh, perhaps the best photo of all...A long-awaited day on the beach on Monday...

...And time to head home...We've got a pretty large backlog of orders to fill!

Thanks as always for your support, friendship, and business! See you next year!
