Came home to what I think is a hair algae outbreak in both tanks.

Nitrate tests in both tanks prior to leaving were 0 and 3 in the 120 and 29 cube respectively.

Here are some pics from the 120:

Is this hair algae? What can I do? I immediately killed the lights on the 120 because it is just inverts there. Can I add any hermits that would eat this? I was dosing NOPO4-x but obviously with me being gone for a week that stopped. I know my nitrates on the 120 are over 20 because they were when I started dosing the NOPOx.

I am planning on doing my normal 5g change on the cube (NO3 test was 1-2ppm per Red Sea nitrate pro). Should I do a larger change on the 120 (normal is 10 gallons weekly).

Defiantly some type of algea for sure, not positive if it's hair algea, but i have found that the best and easiest way to get rid of any algea is to use emerald crabs. Are both of your tank newly set up? If not you could add a sailfin tang or an algea blenny.

Both are new (in terms of the hobby), within 6 months.

As mentioned with the 120, the plan is a yellow tang and kole. I would like to add an algae Blenny to the biocube but trying to wait until the clowns are done with their treatment.

Was planning to get it to be the last additions. But the overflow box silicone seal broke and the box fell off last night.

Yet another snag in this build.
