I was in the public aquarium industry back in the late 90s early 2000’s running life support systems and water quality. Which led to the eventual management of local residential reef and fish only tanks. Building custom filtration systems and tanks I had several large tanks in my house including a. 600 gallon bow front. Anyways life happened marriage kid different job out of the aquarium industry and i fell away from tanks. Fast forward to now my 10yr old found my old albums of tank pics and is dove in he wanted to go to aquariums and fish stores. Has about been through the burgess atlas cover to cover. So this has brought me here I decided to start a new tank. I have a 72 now that’s been sitting in a crate since 2002 never used. Silicone is still really nice and soft. I built a stand and have a rough in bathroom in the basement right below where the tank will go upstairs. I’ve already built my sump from 3/8 cast acrylic it’s 24x48x18 will be running about a 12” water depth so around 60 gallons in the sump with around 22 gallons of that for a fuge. I have a ETSS Gemini 800 left over so going to use that. I ordered a current ic loop pro 48-60 bundle with a 3rd light strip. Let the build begin.
