Hi All,
Let me start by saying that I am so happy to be a part of the forums. I have been looking at them since I joined and reading a lot of posts and getting a lot of good information. Things have changed some since I was in the hobby just a short 10 years ago. I am ready to get back in the saddle of reefing again. Back then I had a 75 gal tank which I drilled for an overflow, a sump my brother and I made. It was a lot of work and took me about 6 months of research and time to get all that was needed for it. How things have changed over the years since then. I used to belong to another forum then as well. with a lot of good people who were willing to help, and from what I have read so far I think I am in the right place to get back in to the hobby.
I am going a little bit smaller of a tank now than I had back then due to space limitations, so I have opted to go with a Biocube 32 LED AIO. I think for now this will be the best option for me in the space I have. My Step-Father and I will be building a stand for it as well it will be cheaper I think then the $200 they want for the stand for it. I figured I will put maybe a couple of clowns in it and some Corals for me to enjoy. Yes I know for the corals I want I may have to take the top off and upgrade the lighting on it which I plan on doing. I have a few lights picked out to choose from so when the time comes I will make the choice on that. ( It will be either the AI prime or the Zetlight UFO which I have done my research on and either will work for what I want to have in the tank. So stay tuned because I will start a build thread when I have all that I need in hand to get it all started.
I just want to say thank you for letting me be part of the forums and I look forward to all the feedback that is going to come my way. I am sure I will have some questions along the way as I said things have changed some since I was last in the Hobby.
Happy Reefing to All.
