After a few years out of the hobby. I decided to set my 29 gal up the right way this time. (Last time I just bought pretty much one of every fish not knowing about aggressiveness and overstocking) anyway I had 2 koi in the tank for a while and I decided to move them out to my pond. Did a 90-95% water change. And started to rebuild.
I have a whisper 40 filter and a 170gph power head and a 50watt heater....time to upgrade...so I added a aqueon quiet flow 20 filter added the under gravel filter for the power head. Switched the 50 watt to a 150watt heater added a florescent light to the tank. Added an air pump for the under gravel filter on one side and an air stone on the other.
Added some live plants for the first time, two anacharis, Oriental sword, anubias hastifolia, and not sure what the last is.
And finally I added my fish.
1 German blue ram
1 golden ram
4 peppered Cory
4 bleeding heart tetra(helped cycle the tank, got attached)
10 neon tetra
1 albino bristlenose pelco(just a baby I'll re home when it gets bigger)
1 Dalmatian molly (from previous tank)
Let me know what you guys think open to any advice.
