So I don't believe I created a tank build thread on this site so I figured I would start.

I been doing saltwater tanks for about 3 years. I started out with a 36g bow front (used to be a tropical fish tank). I quickly upgraded to a 54g corner tank. My 36g went thought different options, from a second saltwater tank, to a QT tank, to nothing, and then finally a tank with one cichlid in it. Fast forward a couple of years and I decided to move out of my apartment and into my mom's house (to save money for a house). I sold off all my live stock and cleaned out all my tanks. About a month at my mom's and I was like "I can't go any longer without a tank". I found a spot for my 36g tank and was going to make it a nem tank only. That has quickly change and its back to a mix reef tank.

So my green birdnest has been in my tank for about 28 days. When I first added it I did not have my test kit for mag, cal, dkh. I noticed that there was a lot of white skeleton on the frag with a little green showing under the blues. When I got my test kit I started to track my levels and dose as needed. Now I am noticing more green than white (if there any white left at all) and polyps coming out. sorry for the bad picture

So today I setup my auto doser (which I got for Christmas) cause I have been dosing about the same amount every day. Because this is my first time using an auto doser I set the dose lower (about half) than what I been dosing every day. I will keep testing every day for a little (then go every week)

Cool and thanks for sharing!

Well I have not been keeping this thread updated and I do apologize about that. I am sitting here thinking that I might break this tank down. It has not gone the way I wanted and having one issue after another. This tank was to be a 'hold me over' tank. low maintance just to keep me in the hobby while I save for a house. Things ain't going as planned (like always) and I been dropping more and more money into this system. I need to stop that so I can get a house and get my dream tank going. I just know if I break it down I will still have that need for something
