Back to school........... I wish I could, that is if we taking school.
Now in the reef hobby we refereeing to Old School as there isn't such thing as New School.
Many under us still remember the bottom filter and the trickle filter (still around btw) VHO T12 and T8's.
No controller but some had a analog timer, wood air stone for the skimmer just to name a few.
What was your Old School tank setup?

What did we do when we didn't had these fancy strong hold magnets................... EXACTLY !!!

Maybe if we go really back in time even when I was still just entering Kindergarden.............

PC lighting, really a type of lighting that does not get enough love for simple softy tanks. No controllers, dosing, reactors. Flow and one huge skimmer nothing more. No fuels, powers, roids, marine snow.......... This tank had sps, sponges, clams, lps, ya name it, the tank had it and no major issues. The Euphyllias thrived. (1996 seems like yesterday). My first SW tank did have an under gravel though.
