Picked up a frag tank (48" wide by 42" deep by 12" tall) that has a six inch euro brace all aroung. A single 36" fixture would be perfect, as it would fit within the euro bracing, but would not be deep enough, I'd have to run two. I think I've settled on going with a six bulb 24" about 12" off the water. It would give great coverage over the open, and drop off in the back where the overflow is. Going 24" as I've got some other tanks that it would fit over if i decide to move the lights (a 30 and 60 cube). For corals, I'm not going SPS, so not worried about par, and being the tank is only 12" tall, shouldn't matter anyway. I'm actually looking forward to the heat, as I live in northern Minnesota, so I need it

Note: I"m NOT a fan of the super blue looking tanks. I'm going for about a 12-13k look of color.
Hamilton Fiji Sun 6x24
- Includes 10k bulbs x2, 420 bulbs x2 460 bulbs x2
- 12 Sun/Actinic 50/50 bulbs 6700k/Actinic (roughly 12ish K)

- ATI Blue Plus
- ATI Aquablue Special
- ATI Purple Plus
- Geisemann Aquablue Azure
- Geisemann Aquablue Coral
Plan is to run two 50/50s, one purple/coral, one 10k, then two blues, whichever looks best to me.
I've had ATI and Hamilton fixtures in the past, and like the Hamiltons a little better - I don't feel bad if they get scratched!
So what are some other good bulbs that have different color outputs? Again, I don't want the super mega blue, just a hint of it. What other bulbs have you tried that you liked but didn't think you would?
