Back up generator questions

I've decided that I've played Russian roulette long enough...

Were going to be putting in a transfer switch, and installing a transfer subpanel. My question for those that have set up a portable generator back up....What size did you go with (e.g. 7.5kW, 9 kW, 12.5kW, etc.)? What brand did you go with (e.g. Champion, Westinghouse, DuraMax, etc.?) What are driving off of it (e.g. reefers, freezers, heater blowers, A/C, & yeah obviously reef tanks!)

I have a duromax 10k running watts dual fuel (propane/gas) on a full panel transfer switch. Can keep up with my hole house. Propane with gas in my opinion is the way to go. Never have to worry about gunked up carbs but if i ever ran out of propane its nice to know i can switch over
