So while doing some research for work I stumbled a cross an electric mower company that uses some really neat battery packs. The company also makes a portable power generator/center that uses the batteries for the various implements as a battery bank.
Has anyone used this as an emergency back up?

With different size batteries you could really tailor this to provide maximum life support for your tank. With the right charger/inverter combo you might even be able to charge the batteries while your car runs in a pinch. Or just have a couple spare batteries ready to go when potential rolling brown outs or storms are expected.
It says it'll run 70 watts for 9 hours. That's the equivalent of one Reef Octopus Varios 6 return pump (though I am not sure how a crock pot and a pump compare but 70Ws is 70Ws right?). Looks like it might power an MP10, 40, or 60 for quite a while.
